FC Waterpump on FD block??

Does anyone know if an FC waterpump/housing will fit on an FD block?
If so would this also serve to eliminate the AST?

cant help you but dont forget the fc pump spins the opposite way to the fd pump. (i think you knew this already

Yeah I was hoping there would be some way round that, maybe using the fd impellor/propellory bit?
