I would\'nt buy it,unless i could see it running.
could just be spark plugs or no compression.
You\'ll have to take their word 4 it,that it did run a few years ago.

Whip the plugs out and spin it on the starter, if it goes "wish wish wish" its probably ok, if it goes "wish wish woosh" its stuffed.
A compression test is best but it gives you a good idea.

wish wish wish and its probably still stuffed. My money is that the chrome on the housings is flaking off

Youre probably right, may be worth a punt if you need a lump in a hurry, I took a chance on an engine a few years back and it turned out great.

I got my 2nd hand lump using the wish wish wish method and I was lucky, 5000 miles and counting. Probably jinxed it now though so I\'ll go update my breakdown cover right away.

This guy\'s called Paul and he\'s presently putting an FC engine into a mini. (He wants someone local in Birmingham to look over the mini project with him before he starts it up, but thats another post in the 2nd Gen Section).
Paul says he has got other 1st Gen parts for sale. I think they are Blue S2 parts and as said he\'s in Brum.
