Depends on what you regard as not a lot of torque, I produce approx 330lbs of torque at 1.2BAR.
On higher boost even my twin plate was not holding and was slipping with new plates.
But a good single plate (not organic) should be able to hold 400whp, its when you go over 450whp that things get tricky in the clutch department.
 
I would say 8.5K rpm is safe if all the internals are working correctly

When you say slipping, is that on a drag strip or just driving normally? I might need to upgrade my clutch soon just want to make sure that I get something that will get sth that I never have to upgrade again.
 
8.5k rpm sounds sweet. I could always use 1000 extra rpm. Where is the best place to go for a remap around London, although I am willing to travel for a proper map.

after running a half bridge for the last few years there are good arguments for and against. They can behave quite well on the road and if driven with a little practice can be smooth enough but when you put your foot down OMG. The main 2 draw backs are they are thirsty, very thirsty and the noise which can be controlled but isn\'t as easy as you would think.

I would speak to your chosen engine builder as I\'m sure they will be able to get you a test ride in various cars, or go to one of the meets in your area and ask the members there for a ride.
