Hi all,

I have just picked my car up from Mazda after getting a compression and emissions check done to check how long I had left on the engine and how much I was have to do to the fueling to get past the mot as its running uber rich and flames sometimes due to overfueling caused by the fuel pump.

Here is the specs on the car:

Year: 1991

Type: FC3S turbo II Coupe

Mileage: 86,664

Emissions equipment: Air pump only, full decat turbo back

Boost level: Currently set to 0.7bar on chipped ECU

Drag Racing passes: 25+

Fastest time on stock setup: 14.2 seconds

Care care notes:

Car isn\'t driven before it reaches \'C\' on the temp gauge, oil changed every 3000 miles with cheap Halfords Orange Mineral oil, blueprint oil filter.

Mods on car:
RE-A Air filter, uprated top mount, walbro pump, Manacor HT leads, 3" to 2.5" twin decat turbo back system, rebuilt 360 degree bearing OEM turbo, Blitz BOV, Uprated radiator, Knightsports chipped ECU, Apexi Boost controller, Stack wideband O2 gauge with bosch sensor, engine is uported running OEM drivetrain.

Here are the results from today from the Mazda main dealer:

Emissions:

CO% (max 3.5%): 0.21%
HC (max 1200ppm): 846ppm

Compression test:

Front rotor, 248 rpm, 7.2,7.2,7.4
Rear rotor, 247 rpm, 6.9,6.9,6.9

:PartyWooo lol it is kinda proof if you look after the engine its fine lol I have upgraded the support systems before stressing them so nothing is ever maxxed out, which seems to have paid dividends :)

nice results on both emissions and compression :)
lets hope your water seals stay so you can make the most of the good compression :)
2 doritos on a stick woohoo :rollin

Indeed :) Im happy with the results, I know the car has been properly looked after, seems that the coolent leak was from the block to heater matrix, in the colder weather it had a hole in. I think it was leaking a bit a few months back as it had \'drunk\' a litre of water after I went to santapod, which I am guessing higher pressure water had caused a slight failure that then went when it got cold.

The top rad hose doesn\'t pressurise when I start the car, so the water seals seem to be ok at the mo :) the down side is that I have to wait longer for the extended streetports :rollin

I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

Get your finger out, get it on the road and start driving it then!!! (B.Martin 25/2/12)

Shame I can\'t go for extended streetports sooner though lol but its on 86k miles :) just showing that there isn\'t anything wrong with a rotary if you look after it :)

Is that on original engine then - or a rebuilt one ?
