Hey Guys, thought id post up and say hello since im now a proud owner of an FD!

My names Jason, i\'m 23 and work for the Royal Navy as a Clearance Diver.
Thats the boring bit out the way, now for the car.

Picked her up a few days ago and cant stop smiling, think the previous owner might have been a member on here?

anyway.

Its a \'97 Type R. 44k on the clock and has the following already on it..

Apexi N1 Muffler
18" SSR Professor SP1 alloys
Mazdaspeed Lightened Flywheel
Exedy Clutch
Blitz Dump Valve
K&N Panel Filter

Already got it booked in for an undersealing in a few weeks time,

Just ordered an HKS Turbo timer and will shortly be getting a boost guage for her, want to get the centre speaker pod but cant seem to find it anywhere, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Also got a rear brace on the way again ordering the front soon.

Was looking at braided brake and clutch lines and also an HID kit for the car, dont think ill do too much to it after that for a while, maybe suspension or whatnot, but for the forseeable future im happy with the power!

Any comments appreciated, also, any worthwhile mods, tips, tricks worth doing?

Cheers. Jase.

Welcome Jase, lovely FD and in the right colour! ;):InLove

Not sure if it was a members before or not, I thought I\'d seen that floating around and for sale on ebay / PH etc for quite a few months now?

Anyways, lovely example, interesting that you\'ve the older style front end on her an R plate - should have the newer nose on it but still looks great! At least you\'ve got the 96 onwards rear lights and what looks like a mazdaspeed spoiler ;)
Now then - onto the rims - lush, lush, lush 18" SSR\'s - v sought after a v expensive - especially to ge a set over to the UK - look after them :)

Forget the turbo timer - send it back - waste of money and will cause probs with your insurance! Just give her a cool down run for a few miles off turbo before you pull up and stop....

Defo need lowering so concentrate on some coileys - look in the for sale section....

Boost gauge a good idea.....

Have fun, take care and njoy

PS: sign up on FDUK too - you\'ll njoy it over there I\'m sure :driving

Do a quick google search for "FlyRX7 gauge" and the link to his details will come up on a US forum. ;)

He does them in 4x52mm and 3x52mm or 60mm pod clusters which costs around $170 or so. He\'s in the states so you\'ll have to add some VAT and shipping onto that.

I\'ll be ordering mine shortly!!

ps: cracking looking girl matey!!
pps: where about in Edinburgh are you? I was in Penicuik with my parents until I moved down here....

thought I recognised it: http://pistonheads.com/sales/1398930.htm

lovely example - newer crossover pipe ( efini Y pipe by the looks of it too ;)

shame about the gauge pod! I\'d recently organised a group buy for them over on FDUK! Came through just before Christmas ;)

3 x 52mm came in at around $100 in VAT, import, carriage! :)

Hi, im in scotland to and my rex is not running very good at the moment! where do you guys go to get work done on yours?

You might be surprised at how much a local garage could do as far as non rotary stuff goes.
If you describe your faults here, people might give you pointers in the right direction.
You don\'t want to be traveling the length of the country just to find its a set of plugs needed:Giggle, which need replaced on a regular basis if you haven\'t already.
