Hey,
 
ive started to notice how small my wheels are,i was thinking some nice 18s would look good,bu worried out them rubbing has anybody had 18s on theres before and can somebody comfirm the offsets for me

iv got 19s and they are fine, even though mine is lowered.
It not the size of the wheel that matters as the bigger the rim the thinner the tyre so the the overall circumference stays close to stock, its the offset and width of the wheel that usually makes the probs.

Went from Heavy 18 inch chrome wheels, to lightweight mazdaspeed 17s and the ride and handling was tons better!
 
So I\'d say if youre going for 18s, get decent ones with correct tyres, and offsets!

i was gona have lightweight wheels as i had chrome before on another car and it weighed a tonne petrol was affected alot and there a pain to clean,

There\'s no one correct offset.

It depends on several things - Tyre size, rim width, bodywork, and personal preference

For example;
I ran ET10 on the rear of a stock body with rolled lips on a 10j, running a 225 for me \'street\' wheels - but loads of people hate that look. I love it though. A more conservative fitment would have been something like an et38 running a 265. Would tuck under pretty easily, but give a totally different look.

You could even go for 20\'s!!! As seen on the FEED car at TAS this month...

Looks good on a show car, but maybe not for the road eh!

i\'ve got 235/40/17 on a 9j et27 for the rear and it fits easy (totally stock body). the car scrapes on all but the gentlest of speedbumps so it\'s pretty low, there\'s plenty of room to go with an 18 and keep the same tyre profile. might need to roll the lip of the arch but should be fine...

does anyone know who can do arch flaring, theres loads that will roll the arches but ask anyone about a pull and they say no straight away
