Hi there,

I am just asking what sort of wheel nuts the FC has, I am in need of some of those thinner \'tuner\' style wheel nuts as my OZ Futuras have a deep recess where the wheel nut goes, so the OEM ones will fit, you just can\'t turn then :Giggle

Pretty sure they are M12 x 1.5, but will have to check that.

They\'re definitely M12 x 1.5. Stock ones are a 21mm nut too!

I\'ve got some chromed 19mm ones from MRP (same as dtheb\'s link), but discovered when I went to fit my Panasports that I need 17mm ones. B0llocks! Looks like yet another thing to spend money on :(

dthebuk

Ah could you let us know if you find some 17\'s, my 19s are a weeee bit tight

Does anyone know what taper it is? I\'m pretty sure they\'re a 60 degree taper, but just want to make sure before I go and request prices.

For everyone else interested, which I suspect includes dtheb and mitch I\'m searching for nuts with the correct taper, 12x1.5 thread and a 17mm nut that\'re good quality and cheap. I\'ll enquire about adonised ones if you\'re interested, but they seem to be very expensive and you only gain a few grams.

They need to be able to fit these rims:

I don\'t know what I need as this is the first car I have had aftermarket rims on that don\'t work with the OEM wheel nuts :(

i might be interested on nuts depending on price and colour :)
2 doritos on a stick woohoo :rollin

Nah thats not bolted on, the wheels are catching on the exhaust heatshield, so I need to adjust them with hammer lol the OEM heat shields are useless as my rear mufflers are stubby so all that bit of heat shield is protecting is a bit of pipe, but there is a 6" gap between the shield and the pipe lol

That was a picture of what they would kinda look like, and also checking clearance and if I would need wider arches, really do need extra rubber on the rear...

They are slightly bigger than stock....:

Only increases the width of rubber on the rear by 12cms for both hehe :rollin

I\'ve just dropped one company an email saying there\'re several interested, asking for a suggestion on above requirements. Preferably open ended nuts, nice colours would be good, but not that bothered if it affects the price much, 17mm btw, in our position might as well get the right ones first time!

We\'ll get some nuts sorted for you, then you can grow the balls to fit the wheels :p You\'ll need a lot of arch work, and some skinnier tyres for those! Though that\'s nothing that can\'t be done.

Here\'s the cheapest I\'ve found:
http://www.priracing.com/product.php/923/180/nut---taper-m12x-1-5--17mm-hex

But the aluminium ones are available on that site, almost a fiver per nut - that\'s like, £100 on wheel nuts if you bought a full set :O

dthebuk

let us know what the guys you emailed said. Otherwise im all over the ones in the link. As long as they work im not too bothered.

I will only need 16, gonna get some locking wheel nuts so my £2k set of rims doesn\'t go walkabout lol

Don\'t worry, I\'ve asked about locking one\'s in the same dimensions too :p
