ecu looks ok not damp its an n380 even looked inside nothing black or anythin mine has abs and a sunroof but dunno how to open it cant see any buttons or a handle?

The buttons are up by the map lights in the roof. The sunroofs are well known for sticking and sometimes need a helping hand to get going. Infact mine needs a nudge everytime.
I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

Quote from: papercutout;660349I wouldn\'t worry, I have an electrically folding down roof - that\'s much heavier! And cruise control!

I have these things as well - but they add weight in the right places for cornering stability ;)

And ABS - just complicates the hubs / brake plumbing and is more stuff to go wrong - just learn cadence and progressive braking and it you\'ll never miss it :Giggle

Yeah the buttons are up next to the map lights, just press the back of the sunroof to get it going, then when its open spray the sliders with lithium grease :)

And there is also an emergency handle, check your owners manual pack :) should be the emergency handle in there :)

my ecu which was causing probs for my fc, i opened it up before and everything looked ok to me, no water residue or rust but that was the cause of my prob.
was hard to start car, hot and cold, idle really rough like it was running on one rotor.

i think prof has that ecu now, if not then still with m1tch (n374 i think), not sure if he has had time to investigate it or do anything with it.
2 doritos on a stick woohoo :rollin

I do have that ecu now - not had chance to lift the lid on it and check it out - I suspected it might have either blown output for the ignition circuit, damage to the CAS input (timing pickup) or a failure of one of the several power transistors that control various solenoids and the OMP - even could be an injector driver transistor, although failure of one of those that would cause starting problems would mean it would not be running at all on one rotor.

There is a limited amount of protection built into some inputs/outputs, but some areas of the ecu - such as the OMP circuit, aren\'t well protected - a short in the windings of the stepper motor that controls the OMP will almost certainly take the tranistor pack out that drives it.  It\'s a hard part to find a replacement for - made by Toshiba - but not been sold for years - It could be replaced by 4 seperate transistors on a small daughter board - worth putting in some beefy replacements !

I think the cranking port is up near the map lights under a piece of trim :)
