Only thing i can think of is
1]there\'s a guy breaking a 1st gen,don\'t know what colour at top of 1st gen section.
2]email the guy on ebay & see if he\'s interested in breaking it
good condition opal green panels will be hard to find,u could always say there\'s other guys off the forum after parts as well.

Only Hindle Autos in Hartlepool, 01429 233875, though that was a long time back and the car had been crunched up against a wall or tree or both. Donavan on here was breaking a Tender Blue S3 a bit back. That\'s about the nearest to your colour, except as Stu says, the ebay complete car.

This car must have been painted, as I\'ve never seen a red one with brown interior.

You beat me to it,only came on ebay 10 mins ago.
Red with brown interior,i\'m guessing it used to be green & resprayed?
Looks good nick & already got a bid,Ian did you hit the \'submit\' button on fleabay?Hmmmm
Ta stu..

syebba

or it\'s not been repainted & someones swopped interiors?

Neither have I. I couldn\'t live with a brown interior, not my cup of tea.
Cheap mot\'d car though at the moment. There are a few breakers knocking about with grey interiors presently, so the new owner could change the colour.

I could do with the parts but I wouldn\'t break a road going car. We need to preserve the few that are left.
I\'d buy it to fettle and sell on if it came at the right price, but not if it had been blown over which seems likely.
I can\'t believe that anyone would specify brown as a special order or go to the trouble of changing the interior for brown.
I suppose stranger things have happened though!!

If it has been painted it must have been a good one, because where the headlight washer is missing there is no sign of another colour, and who removes those for a respray, unless it was damaged.

The rubber covers only pull off and push back on so are easily removed.
I\'ve always found the best way to check for a colour change is to check behind the dash.
On old Triumphs and Jags, which often were resprayed, we used to drop the clocks out to see well behind the dash.
You\'ve got to be pretty determined to completely strip out a full dash to respray a car, but if you\'re going for a full colour change, it\'s the proper way to do it, get back to a bare shell and do it properly. Even then, sometimes the colour is recorded on the vin plate.
I personally wouldn\'t touch a car that had had a half assed colour change.
Totally blast the shell back to bare metal, inside and out or don\'t bother

Maybe this RX is as it left the factory though, could just be an unusual colour combination.

Mazda only offered a grey interior with red in this the UK, and as its a 84 car they would not have been using up the remaining parts, could be worth a phone call to the number given to put us out of our misery................

Shame no engine bay shots, few people bother stripping entire engine bay before respray.
What colour 1st gens had a brown interior.
I think green?
It\'s not blue/red/black

Well I\'ll leave you all to it then. Let me into the post when you\'ve sorted it.

Seriously all, thanks for the tip off, not seen it before so couldn\'t tell if it\'s been a different colour. It\'s on DVLA as red and with the correct V5 date, (so not likely to be an import).
Swopping the interior seems simple at 1st sight, but EVERYTHING has to come out, including the dash. No fun in that in my book.
Maybe someone wanted a grey interior. But as said, what colour car had a Brown Interior? Didn\'t the Opal Green have Beige Stu? White GSL SE in the US was Brown I think, maybe Maya Gold S2\'s as well?
