Hello guys, and gals, suprise suprise, I have a problem. Appart from my 2nd turbo not boosting, there seems to be enough threads on that issue, I have a loud constant beep from my dashboard when I start the car. Whilst it is making this noise, it is almost impossible to drive? Why do I get involved in "projects"? lol.:Hammer

Sounds like the "low coolant" buzzer, then! I\'d advise checking the coolant level ASAP and don\'t drive it till you get it sorted. The last thing you wanna do is overheat an FD, it will poo its gusset in an ugly and embarassing fashion

EEEEK lol its ment to be annoying for a reason! Check the fluid level, don\'t trust what the OEM gauge is reading as if its low on coolant, the probe probably isn\'t going to be in the water! Best thing it to check all the fluid levels and report back :) also check all the caps for any cracks and just pray that its not the engine pressurising the coolant system that is making it leak, as that could be waterseal failure :(

All fluids appear fine, however, the red light is now always on saying low coolant, this happened before the noise.

Make sure the wire is intact and has a good connection on the sensor. If there is a break in the wire the buzzer will be sounding.

I had this problem recently.

If you put your arm down the side of the engine (as if to take out the spark plugs)

there is a wire on the left (towards the front of the car) the connection on mine broke off and after 5seconds of running the buzzer would go off.

I\'d have a look for a loose wire ;)

Amazing!, Thank you everyone, wire had broken of at connection. All sorted. Now just to sort this boost problem out. Thanks again guys

Magicmat

Sorted,

Glad we all helped, its usually summat simple :)

just out of curiosity - the beeper is the same as the shift beeper yeah?

And where is it actually located? Memory is offering me in the drivers footwell somewhere?
Work hard, play hard house :D

It\'s the same one as opening the doors with the lights on too, isn\'t it? All from same F100 box I thought.

swear the low coolant level buzzer is MUCH louder than my shift beep lol!

Coolant buzzer is a offensive beeping noise cant miss it lol
