What mods would i need to support running one of these ebay special ecu\'s??

http://shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?_nkw=FC3S+ECU&_sacat=0&_trksid=p3286.m270.l1313&_odkw=FC3S&_osacat=0

Also which one would be best for my car as im running stock fuelling and intercooler?

Ive read the brief description on the ecu\'s but what do they actually change to the cars running/power??

TiddlesRX7

Well The Apexi is a stand alone ECU that you can Re-Map. The others are tuned ECU\'s that are programmed already. Meaning that you buy the ECU to the mods its mapped for. Usually Intake, Exhaust, front mount. They normally eliminate fuel cut and up the boost also. Some are mapped for larger turbo\'s too. The Apexi can be mapped to suit your car and the mods that are on it. Then if you mod further you re-map the ecu.
I had a KnightSports ECU that I ran for around a year or so (on standard turbo, intercooler and fueling system). It didn\'t suit my cars mods exactly and made it run rich in some parts of the map and lean in others. I have since bought an Apexi PFC but have yet to fit it.

Oh I got 226bhp out of the Knightsports ECU. With the mods in my sig. With the Apexi I hope to be getting over 250-260bhp.
I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

Get your finger out, get it on the road and start driving it then!!! (B.Martin 25/2/12)

i\'d say go for a remappable one ie apexi
can remap to suit.
if u get the others then u wont know what its mapped for and like tiddles said. can be lean in areas and rich in others plus ur limited to what you can do. is no bigger tub, injectors etc.

Cool well in that case I might as well save for an apexi ecu.think the mods to date are--

3inch straight through stainless from tubby back,blitz bov,fuel cut defender,blitz induction kit,some sort of adjustable coilovers,rota torque rims,ebc greenstuff pads,silicone hoses,power steering cooler,short shifter,omp suede wheel,dtts eliminators.

Looking to also fit a front mount, bigger injectors, fuel pump, bushes roll bars, new discs, braided lines and eventually an apexi ecu.

Good job christmas is near lol.

have a think about the exhaust - not sure how much i would want of it - but interested in the down pipe to the main decat ( so the entire front of it )
