Hi all.

Does anyone know what gear oil and how much a manual Fd takes?

Grizzly

am i correct in saying its 75w-90 2.5 lt?

also once drained can you refill through the Gear selector in the top? just to stop gear oil running down my arms :(

3.5l or 2.5l is the amount i think... there are a few posts on here about it... try using the search

Grizzly

I did search but i don\'t like peoples Guesses on things like this (and i\'m using my phone to search which is annoying at best) just wanted to buy some whilst out, but i\'ll check my workshop manual when i get in.

I did this a few weeks ago, Rob is spot on, 2.5litres of 75W-90 is what went into my manual gearbox :)

I\'m pretty sure that you can\'t (or at least not easily), I ended up running a length of tubing into the fill hole, and squirting the gear oil in with a great big syringe... with a bit more forward planning, I would\'ve used tubing that was a little/lot bigger and just poured it in with a funnel :)

i got 3 litres in mine. i took the little dustboot off the top of the tunnel and ran a tube down to the fill hole through there. put loads of rags down on the passenger seat and sat there holding a massive funnel full of oil :)
