Hey guys, I\'ve been hanging around on the FC section for a while... where I really should be considering I have an FC, duh...

Anyways, I\'ve REALLY been toying with the idea of getting and FB, seeing as I\'m in no major hurry to sell the FC and get the FB, I\'ve been trying to find and compare prices of different condition FB\'s, no luck though, there\'s a distinct lack of FB\'s for sale atm...

So my question, what are the general current selling prices for good, solid FB\'s and Elfords? And would it be an idea to contact Tim at RXMotors too see what he can do with his stock...?

A PURELY PERSONAL VIEWPOINT, and apologies to anyone with a cracking car for sale that I\'ve left out. Here are some cars that really have taken my eye over the last few months.
First up Dave Collins with his fab Metallic Green Series 3. It was for sale and then withdrawn because, quite rightly he wanted a proper price, as I would if ours went up for sale.
Then there\'s carszoomzoomzoom in Aberdeen. Silver S3. Around £3000 I think - looked good.Whether it sold or not I don\'t know.
White S3 in staffs was for sale for £4000. has to be in good nick for that money!
Series 2 cars, a lovely looking Blue ex-mechanics car in the London area, still on classiccars website I think. Maybe sold now, don\'t know.
Then there\'s a smart looking S2 in Cork on donedeal.ie website.
Prices range from around £1700 to £2000 for the S2\'s and up to £4000 for the S3\'s, but I stress these seem to be top of the range cars.
If you can\'t find any of the above on the search engine I\'ve probably got a link or mobile phone number if you want to PM me.
I stress again this is purely personal and these are the cars I would go out to look at if I was in the meerkat.
I do prefer the S3 though.
1000th POST AS WELL!!!!

This is only my view….. others may see it differently
Condition 1 :- Car is in superb condition in all respects, not concourse but superbly maintained with no major faults. £3000 plus

Condition 2 :- Car is capable of regular use and have a current MOT certificate but will need work to make them condition 1 £800 - £3000

Condition 3 :- Cars usually need lots of work but the might have some MOT and are drivable. £400 - £800

Project cars :- Basket cases and long term off road. Needs rebuild or major work for MOT. Usually end up as parts cars £0.00 - £400

Project Elford turbos used to fetch good money but a few project cars recently have struggled to make any decent money

These are obviously only rough figures and depend on the quality of the car, desperation of the seller to move it on and the location.
Most weeks there are 1st gens on Ebay but most are project or condition 3 cars with the occasional condition 2.
Condition 1 cars seldom seem to come onto the market and would command a premium.
The difference between top condition 2 cars and bottom condition 1 cars is difficult to quantify as few come onto the market and some owners have a rose tinted view of how good their cars are!
Known club cars are easier to place a value on.
