Hey guys Im looking to order the ABS delete kit from Mazdatrix but It requires a credit card and I do not own one.

Is there anywhere else I can get the kit and info on installing it?

its one of the last parts i need to get the car to the MOT station to find out what else requires replacing for it to be road legal :driving

Any info greatly appreciated.

why do u need ABS del kit to get thru MOT?
is ur ABS light on when you drive?

I had the ABS light on in my other car when it went for MOT and it failed. removed the bulb for retest and it passed ;p

if you semi-mechanical, you can find a MOT testing list online and check over yourself quickly so you know what to lookout for etc..

clicky around this link.

all you need is a t peice and some piping and fittings only a couple of quid from a motor factors

and you could be fancy and wire the abs light to the oil pressure warning so it goes off once the car is started i just removed the bulb completly tho

Ive removed the ABS block so the 6 fittings that came off that are just loose which means I cant bleed my brakes to get to the MOT :-)

Sorry I should have explained in the first post.

what size are the fittings? Im off to the motorfactors this morning.

Ive seen the picture on Mazdatrix of the items for the kit but where does the line go from the t piece? thats what baffles me.

I will be removing the bulb as well just in case.

Cheers guys!

Seriously you shouldn\'t need a ABS delete kit, 1 reel of copper pipe a handful of fittings and 2 t-pieces, then someone with a pipe flaring tool...
Should cost you about £10 max, if you haven\'t got a pipe flaring tool, try this link, everything from £2.00 to £200+.

J3d1 cool will wait for the link.

Sorry finshed before I added the link for flaring tools...

I\'m sure you can find others quite easily.

Basically from the master cylinder 1 take-off will be front brakes (usually rear take-off), the other rear brakes (usually front take-off). From the front brake take off, run 1 copper line into a t-piece and locate this in the engine bay, then plumb the 2 lines from this into your front brakes. I would run the line from drivers side along where the old ABS lines ran to connect to the flexi-pipe / shock for the passenger side brake (unless your engine is out or you have skills bending copper pipe, then you can tuck it neatly out of sight). Remember Copper pipe work hardens so measure the routes / length first, then bend the pipe when you know its the right length.
Then from the rear brake take-off on the master cylinder, run 1 line under (or through) the car. Attach the 2nd t-piece somewhere out of the way under the back of the car, then run 2 lines to the flexi-pipes on either side.

For the MOT you either have a fully working ABS system, or you have to strip EVERYTHING (including the wheel sensors) out of the car. Its why im keeping mine lol

the hat

removing the sensors is so simple tho your not going to need them again so i just smashed them out lol

h20490

Thanks for the links and info :-)

The car will be more geared towards drift days. None of my previous cars had ABS or had been removed to make room for the turbo.

The kit on Mazdatrix looks easier than whats been posted up although I understand where the lines go to now. on the MC it even says "F" and "R"

Think Im getting a hand on Friday sorting the propshaft out with air tools and the oil cooler lines.

Watch out for a couple more threads by me before the ultimate thread.. rx7 FC fails to start :P

Thanks again guys!

You do know they are over £200 each from mazda and that a few people will NEED them and pay good money for them don\'t you? :rollin

h20490

might try removing them carefully and sell them on here downside is I cant tell you if there working or not which also knocks off the value instantly.

Will be cracking on with this tomorrow as Im also installing goodridge hosing all round.

Cheers
