throttle cable

my throttle cable is seriously loose, there\'s a lot of play before it actually catches and opens up the little butterfly linkage bit. had a go at tightening it at the weekend but overdid it... was great fun sitting at traffic lights with the car idling at 2,000rpms, nice and responsive though!

anyway, is there a trick to get the throttle cable just tight enough, or is it trial and error?

i had the same issue...trail and error.  while your tightening the cable you can pull up on it with you finger to to see how tight or loose it is...

this, of course, is just how i did it.
