Anybody use one of these ??? You can pick them up quite cheap. Is it something you would recomend. I allways found the Fd gear change a bit long, but thats just me

Thanks

Short shifters arent worth the hassle imo. . Length of the standard lever is designed to give enough time for the cogs to line up in the gearbox and if you use a short one your giving less time and prob gonna cause more wear and tear. .

I think they\'re fantastic, just to be contrary. Got a B&M one for my previous FD because all the synchros were pre-fduked when I got it, and it made a massive difference. Much more positive feel to it, and made the graunching much less bad (grammar!?). Transferred it onto the new FD with perfectly good gearbox, and it\'s even better. Bit stiffer than stock until it all warms up a bit, but then you wouldn\'t be caning it till everything was warmed up anyway

They are really rather good :) Flikstrr has borrow mine to take drifiting this weekend, so I swapped the OEM one back and its completly different lol

It depends on what you wanna use the car for, I take mine drag racing a bit so the short shifter helps, with the OEM one in its like a GT cruiser :)

Don\'t think B&M do them anymore for FDs. Dunno if the cheapy FleaBay ones are any good, I think they\'re a rip-off from the Amemiya version, so no reason they wouldn\'t be good

i love mine, wouldnt go back to a standard one at all now......
There are performance cars and then there is the RX-7...........

12.3 second 1/4 mile, terminal speed of 122mph (1st ever drag run on a TO4R)

engine built by....... umm me! now powered by a T51 Kai......

:Thumbsup! for me :)
like nik said, they bit stiffer but thats due to the pivot point being raised by about 1.5cm ish? and a bit of basic physics shows that its normal to be a bit stiffer.
2 doritos on a stick woohoo :rollin
