Hi guys, just a quick question, I have now got some BRIDE seats to be fitting into my UK FC, unfortunatly its come out of a Jap spec FC so I need to move the mounts on the seat to rail.

There is adjustment left and right a bit, here is the question, do I unbolt the seat from the runners/brackets, fit the runners and then bolt on the seat, or do I try and adjust it whilst the seat is in place?

surely the seat frames are the same for the uk and jap models??

surely you bolt the runners to the bride then bolt them in the car?? are they side mounts?? if so bolt the runners in then slide the seats in to the mounts and try and get your hand on the inside first (trans tunnel side) then do the door side...

I wish they were the same bolt hole width, its come out from Brian\'s purple jap spec FC and mine is UK spec, seems that the bolt holes in the jap spec are further away from the centre console.

Do you recomend that I keep the seats and rails all together and loosen off the adjusters, bolt the whole lot in and then try and tighten the adjusters up? Seems that they are allen key bolts on top and loose nuts underneeth, so im not sure how easy it will be to get underneeth the console side nearest the gear stick

Right, I have tried again for the 2nd time to try and fit these seats, the back 2 bolts went in fine, no issues there at all, here are the photos of the other bolts, the adjustments on the seat rails are as wide as possible, ie the rails are as far over to the centre as possible:

Rear bolts are fine:

This is the bolt nearest the door, as you can see its a few mil out and won\'t drop down any further - I had got this one in on the first try, but had to take it out again as I needed a seat in the car to go to profs:

This is the one nearest the console, you can see how far out a jap spec and UK spec car is:

What am I going to do :( do I have to take the seat off the rails? Fit the rails somehow (maybe with a hammer - although ive already tried that) and then somehow bolt the seat back onto the rails?

This is how they are bolted on:

Right these have now been fitted *big sigh of relief*, so it looks like a standard bolt in bride seats and rails from FC3S to an FC3S takes about 4 hours :(

thats good! i thought u were gonna get then re-trimmed?
2 doritos on a stick woohoo :rollin

The seats have easy to remove covers and the padding comes out in sections and are velcroed in, so its easy to take off with the seat in, theres a wire that goes round the edge keeping it on there, easy to take off :)

Still can\'t belive it look 4 hours to fit the 1 seat though lol but its really nice to sit in, it doesn\'t look that comfy, but becuase you don\'t move around its really rather nice :) and only weighs about 5kgs :P

i feel your pain mate

i once took my seat out - took me about 4 hrs to get it back in - i think the secret is not to tighten any bolt until they are all in place ;)

Learnt that the hard way lol even had to loosen the seat off from the side mounts lol its really odd as these were just unbolted directly from a jap spec FC, do I have a \'friday car\' like they used to have at british layland? lol

grinder

its very strange - it comes out - so why the hell wont it go back in !! LOL

although i took out the seat in the cab - and it was a 10 min job both ways
