My FD - Before & After

Hi everyone, thought i\'d get some pics up now my rex is starting to take shape. It\'s still a work in progress but i\'m pleased with the result so far.

I bought it completely standard (apart from the wheels) and it looked a little like this:


I then bought a C-West kit, and a spoiler. I wasn\'t too keen on the c-west rear end, so i flogged that on and bought a set of spats, which are being sprayed and fitted as i type this. It now looks like this:



I also found a guide on t\'internet on how to "99\'spec" your old lights. Saved me a few hundred quid! can\'t believe how easy it was to do, and the result looks awesome! (can\'t see too well in the pic i\'m afraid)


Anyway, thats it so far. Once the spats are on i\'ll be ripping out the dash and all the trim and taking that down to the local spray shop to be painted white. Then i think the alloys will be due a change.
The spoiler you see on my car is now up for a swap if anyone is interested, i\'ll put the details in the relevant place. :cool

I saw that white fd sometime before i bought mine, it was the picture on the drive that jogged my memory.That must have been when you had just imported it as i was sure it was midlands somewhere.

Lol! I was sure someone would eventually recognise it. It\'s running great thanks. Been the most reliable one i\'ve had so far! She sailed through her mot with no advisories or anything. I ended up going to s....horpe to buy it, i forget the name of the place now. Swapped my seat cupra for it unfortunately thinking of selling her now not sure yet because i know i will be kicking myself if i do.

The guy who bought it off us I think was scared s***less by her! Heh!
 
I think I still have electronic copies of the japanese auction reports and the survey we have our Japanese agent put her through if you are interested?
I think I may have seen the modification report as well but can\'t put my hands on it!
There were very few mods, Blitz BOV, ARC Cooling system, a performance exhaust and some sort of suspension mod.
 
I remember pulling out a small bump on the front driverside wing and removing scratches from both sides of the tail and repainted the front splitter. Nearly bought her myself but didn\'t quite have what my old man wanted for her!

All i\'ve done is fit the bodykit, updated the rear lights and re piped all the vacuum / boost hoses, the rest is pretty much standard i think. I\'m surprised you don\'t have them already mate I remember handing him the originals and a CD with the Jap spec factory workshop on!
 
I\'m digging through my old backups now trying to find what I have.
Me and my old man don\'t speek anymore and the main copies are at his.
