South Coast Jap car meet every Thursday

Just a mention if anyone is interested the HJC are now holding a regular Thursday evening meeting at The Churchillian pub on Portsdown Hill Portsmouth Hampshire. I attend most meetings in my RX7 but would like to invite anyone with an RX7 or even any Japanese car along.
As the two members who came along to the Longbridge Mill meeting last Sunday can confirm we are a friendly welcoming bunch of people who\'s ethos is not to let anyone feel left out who has made the effort to turn up. There is a large car park the left of the pub which held about 30 cars last night we then go down the road a bit to a good kebab and burger van.

Remember if you do come along turn into the road where the pub is and drive past the front of the pub to the first public car park area on the right you can\'t miss it it will be full of Japanese cars and people

No its the one after the pub\'s back car park. I made that mistake the first time, the weather looks clear for the evening now.

The gathering starts at 7 7-30 till about 9 at the pub then we head down Portsdown Hill to Hilsea roundabout there is a big carpark with a large catering van directly left after the portsmouth turning again you cant miss it it\'s full of cars

a few pics from last night, some are a bit blurry, owing to fact that it was pitch dark (photos make it look light) and i was too cold to hold the camera steady!

It looks like some people have been misbehaving on these meets so HJC has pulled the plug on them. I\'m in the process of finding out what happened as me and a couple of other RX7 owners were in the pub when everyone left (not that we\'re hardened boozers or anything like that) and missed something.

I have no idea, one of the members did post stating that he would let anyone know if they contacted him but as of yet no answer. Pity really as it was becoming very popular with over 30 cars at the last one.

It would appear that a new member has not been behaving in a way that the club expects so he\'s had his collar felt in so far as banned for a month. As us three RX7 owners were in the pub and completely missed where everyone else went I didn\'t see the incident/s.
Pity as I say as Thursday is the only night I can manage.
