I\'ve had an exedy Hyper single plate clutch in my car for a few weeks now.  I was hopeing that I would get used to it, and I have a bit - however I still find it an absolute pig to use smoothly.

launching is fine, crawling about is fine, but how on earth do you just pull away smartly with it without bunny hopping all over the place?  can anyone give me any tips please?:Hammer

if its anything like a 6 puck paddle clutch.... Just give it quite a few revs and bring up the clutch pedal slowly.

The joy\'s of single plate clutches!!!! I\'ve had an exedy 3 puck clutch for a year now and it\'s never got any easier, still catches me out now if im trying to hold it on the clutch or pull off slowly

Around 3,000 revs and bringing it up slowly whilst holding the revs is OK - but I find it really hard to find the bite point if I want to pull away smartly at a roundabout for example without spinning up the wheels or lurching / jerking away.

I\'m pretty dissapointed that I was advised it was very drivable by a known seller on here...

It will get better but it still catches me out after a few years of owning one. They are very on/off until bedded in. Drag racing makes them go back to the switch feel.

Its not a light clutch and that makes it harder. They do grab very well !

OK - thanks.

How long does it take for them to bed in?  It\'s finding the bite point that I am finding difficult - once I\'ve got it at the right point I can engage it OK.

Give it a couple of hundred miles of varied driving and it should be better.

This is where a twin plate type clutch is good as you are able to slip them.
I went from an ACT 6 puck single plate clutch that was on and off an absolute pig for town driving and hard on the old leg to my my twin plate is very much more driveable as I am able to slip the thing and less leg work on the ole left leg then the 6 puc
