Anyone useing one one the fd?

i like the idea of it as i really like my blitz system but i wouldnt mind it being a bit quieter when i get home so i dont .... off next door to much + it would be handy if ya see the fuzz around.

my only concern with it is the back presure you would get from closing the valve up?

Ben uses one on his TA car. He only uses it for sound testing on track. Makes a big difference. You wouldnt use it for WOT fully closed anyway

Hmm i might have to look into getting one. like i said i would only want it for coming home late or leaving early for work. and i really dont want to change the exhaust system. Ill wait and see if anyone else is using one before i decided to get one. :)

i am going to fit one for the same reason as jeffers 21 but i am making a electronic controller to open and close mine so i dont need to run the control cable into the car.

I\'ve got one installed on my FC for the exact same purpose as you mate.
Works a treat!!

I belive apexi do make a electronic device to go along with it. although you could make your own with a little motor, cant see it would be that complicated. :)

Unfoprtuantely the Apexi DECS control unit is discontinued :( And they have a reputation for being  abit unreliable as well - I know of several that have just died with no warning :(

Shame it\'s not on a actuator like waste gate so it opened at 1/2 psi

i am thinking of putting a heavy duty servo have it connect half way down the cable to avoid heat and then connect a servo controller to that and then choose between the following three options to adjust it:

1. have simple open and close manual switch.
2.have rotary knob that can open and close with the knob
3. connect to tach and have it open progressively with revs.

i am going to try the third option but not sure if its gonna work till i try it.

i have been looking for decs control unit for ages but no luck.
