Should all FD engines have a  seaparate counterweight behind the flywheel?

Please let me know.:Thumbs-up

No the stock flywheel is a one piece unit that is secured onto the back of the engine by one big centre nut.

You will only need the Auto counter balance weight fitted to a manual car if you try to fit any kind of aftermarket flywheel on as this will give you the required 6 bolt flange you need to bolt the flywheel on

Hope this helps

This may help, on the left is a complete manual flywheel and on the right the auto counter ballance weight both showing the big middle hole where they attach to the ecentric shaft (read crank shaft )
All the best Clive
