Wigan meet (take two)

OK peeps, got another cunning plan... A friend of mine has just aqquired a pub in the Orrell area (just outside of Wigan - not far from the other place I posted) He wants to start getting various different car clubs to meet at the pub and said that if we give him a date he\'ll drum up a kind of "event" for us.
 He has a 40foot bouncy castle he\'ll put out for anyones use, sort out food or a bbq depending on the weather, give us free pool games and also offers on drinks and such.
He\'s a big car nut and has once upon a time owned a 1st gen Rex :Thumbs-up and it was all his idea. In the long run he wants to make it into a larger club event, have spare parts stalls and such. But for now hes just going to see what support he can get and wether or not it should just stay as somewhere to meet.
 
At the moment an RS200 owners club uses the pub as one of their meeting places.

(the pub itself is on the corner of lindley avenue and sandbrook road - the big car park you see straight away)
 
He\'s said that if we want, we could hold a casual meet there first and discuss a few ideas with him between everyone.
 Also, if we could get everything going on I think it could turn out to be a large day that friends and family could come to (if we want):Giggle
 
So yea...
 
Does anybody fancy a meet there in a few weeks? Maybe a week or two after Japan north on a weekend to see what its like and if we can sort something out?
 
and also, whats everyones thoughts on this as an idea so far?

All cool!! I\'m not too fussed about a time and date. I was thinking along the lines of the guys court meet kind of times.. like a saturday/sunday afternoon. Do you lot want to make or suggest a time and date for whatever suits you best and work around that?

A poll usually works well to work out what dates suit.

The 12th / 13th of September is good for me but like Neil said a poll is usually the best way to sort it out.

id be up for future meets but dont think i will manage that one as im off too cuba to get married that weekend, but as i say ill be up for future ones

Might come along to next one if i can fit it in with visiting friends who live round the corner (literally - linden ave lol)
