Okay, guys,
I need some help here
I am removing my FD engine for a rebuild having blown a water seal and have got everything loose / off other than the gearbox. I have removed the bell-housing bolts and the manual says I need to undo the torque converter bolts by jamming a screwdriver into the flywheel teeth to stop it turning and then use the special service tool (don\'t have one) to undo what to all appearances seem to be high torque 14mm bolts. These are PFT and I thought I had it sorted right to the moment I sheared one off (better not type what I said out loud in front of my six-year-old but I think you can guess!)!!
my question is simple
assuming they they need to be undone (which would make sense) how do you undo the bloody things
please help a depressed FD enthusiast (and a six-year-old who learnt some new words today!)

When I did mine I had the same trouble but I used a socket, bar and a sharp whack with a club hammer while the flywheel teeth was being jammed by some one else.
It was the shock that undid them rather than the torque if you know what I mean. I\'m not saying this was the right way to do it but it worked for me. You might try and apply some heat to them and see if that works but you might want to look into how flammable anything is around the bolts........
Hope that helps.
If not, know anyone with an impact driver?

Scrub the socket, I remember now, it was two ring spanners as I broke one in the process. It was a big club hammer though.

Thanks, Spartacus - I will give that a try tomorrow
Any other tricks out there?

those same bolts held up my engine removal by a week or so, i got my cousin the blacksmith to make me a copy of the special service tool from a 14mm socket and a steel bar, would have worked well only i had damaged the heads of the bolts when trying with a spanner. got 2 off ok but nothing was moving the last 2 so i had to use a bit of carpentry, drilled a 4mm hole in the side of the bolt and turned with a punch and hammer, still wasn\'t easy, i broke 2 punches, but it got them out. it\'s not the ideal way to do it, but the bolts were ruined already.
if you can, it\'s worth getting a tool made for the job.
