Hi all!!

Got a couple of questions-

Downpipe- I\'ve bought a Feed Downpipe and Silenced De-Cat.....now what are the gains from a downpipe? Are they worth the possible hassle that could arise from removal!? (I\'ve got a fairly std twin turbo)

Turbo- if I block up the std BOV, will I get the chatter noise!?
And would this be how a single works with no dump valve?

Say something constructive! :Tongue1

Yes change it. You will notice a difference straight away. The stock downpipes are ....e and so restrictive. If you are gonna do it make sure Jay maps it straight after

I added a Feed downpipe, Racing Beat back box and kept my stock cat, went from 217atw to 253 atw.

Dont worry, the infamous one :evillaugh will do what he does best once the changes have been made :driving

literally drive straight to him of boost to him once fitted

also a less restrictive exhaust system means heat can get out of the engine easier, better all round. Definite +1 for the downpipe from me, (if you can get the bolts out)!!
and definitely drive off boost until mapped if you have airfilter and freeflowing backbox as i\'m sure you know you can get boost spikes = bad

I got pretty much 80 bhp from just a hks dp and 3" decat after a mapping session with pip so deffo a +1 from me.

Also yep blocking off the stock bov create\'s the much nicer wastegate chatter effect. I ran for over a year with the stock bov blanked off as i couldnt stand the whistling on part throttle and i swear i had better throttle response on standard twins. I personally dont believe it had any detramental effect on my turbopack whatsoever, although many will disagree but imo all without any proof either way.

been debating about blocking off the standard recirc valves on mine, i was under the impression that the shafts on the stock twins weren\'t particularly tough?

i know there\'s no danger of running with out a bov on a well built single (Garrett/Holset/etc), Blitzboy seems to be the guy in the know so hopefully he\'ll see this!

I didnt block off the crv, just the bov itself
