Hi
In the next week or so i\'m going to get me hands on a trust SMIC.
When i fit this do i need to get the car remapped or not.

I have a standard engine, twins, decat, uprated panel filter and hks twin spark fitted.

Thanks

Are you running the stock ECU, or do you have a PowerFC or similar aftermarket computer?

Sorry

Have a powerFC fitted.

I\'d get a remap if i was you. Anything that affects fuelling is awfy important and shouldnt be messed with unchecked.

And a remap will help get the most out of your new mod anyway!!

I was mapped by pip with bolt-ons dp/decat etc etc and when i fitted my arc smic was told it is perfectly fine unless you feel the need to crank the boost up, Then you need a remap.

As long as your pfc was mapped initially (which i assume it was as you have a decat fitted) and you are not planning on changing your boost settings then it should be fine.

Imo
It only gonna be the difference from driving your car in summer (20odd degrees) to winter (5 degrees ) ambient temps

Thanks for the reply. I guess to be on the safe side i\'ll contact Carl, who mapped the car.

I did however think the same, that its only cooling down intake temps.
