fd3s engine rebuilds

Hi Guys and Girls

HELP!

Im looking at buying a rex`s that needs a engine rebuild but as of yet i dont know the extent of it yet. (not a good start i know)
i have rebuilt normal engines but iv never re built a rotary engine b4
i have a good idea about how the rotary engine works and im sure ill work out more when rebuilding it but there has got to a reason why if a pro rebuilt it it cost £2000 give or take.

Or if its mad to do it my self where is good

Rebuilding a rotary is relatively easy next to a Piston motor, thing is i see a Rotary rebuild as more of a Measuring exercise.

i kinda got pass that measuring part of my life (kinda) but it seams that alot of rex`s get left and forgotten and need some tlc like the one i have my eye on.
im all cool with a project dreamer rex
