Yeap top day had by all really. Sorry Tony had trouble and couldn\'t run for long. And Neil too (bloody coolant hose!).
Big thanks to Casey for setting this up. I totally enjoyed my first track day (even getting pulled by the fuzz at 4:30am!) Whens the next one?

Oh and I\'ll post some vids up when I get chance as I\'m knackered now. Long day.

Did somebody mention pictures? :Santa

I took over 240 pictures during the day, with Malcolm helping taking a stint while Shaun took me around in his FD. A nice mixture of 5\'s, 7\'s, 8\'s with a smattering of exotica.

For those interested in the camera: a Nikon D60 with a AF-s Nikkor 55-200mm lens, plus a circular polarizer to help reduce the amount of windscreen reflection.

I can re-upload at larger image size if 800x600 is too small :o

They seem a good size to me. Great pictures infact. Although when I save the pictures to my desktop and then open them from there the quality is really bad compared to clicking on them from this thread. Any ideas why?

I had a brilliant day even though it was cut slightly short. Some good pics there, can\'t wait to see some more ;) Thanks to everyone for organising this and special thanks to Clive for getting my car runnning again when it decided to drop all its coolant on the floor! :D

Can\'t wait for the next one!

At least yours only did it once!

The original images are 3872x2592 and about 4Mb in size - not very web friendly! Your desktop is probably upscaling them again and all the artefacts then show up. I\'d also forgotten that the forum did thumbnails like that :2Confused

Let me know which images you want and I\'ll send on the originals - don\'t forget I\'m doing a disc with images on it, so if you can wait it\'ll be on there.

Cheers,

Ian.

Did anybody get the amazing view as you walk down towards the track ?? Amazing how the hills don\'t seem to come out as in real life !

Definitely feel that I got quicker over the day. Had a proper play at the end of the day :D

The RX8 is a damn fine car too, they corner better through the twisty bits than the FD.

What a absolutely fantastic day; the track, the people, the cars, the weather, and did I mention the track:Thumbs-up:InLove:Laugh:mmmm:yes lovely to drive, loads of challenges and set in an absolutely stunning setting.

A BIG thankyou to everyone who came along and made this a truely memorable and fun event. Everyone I spoke to on the day, whether RX8OC, MRC, MoT or just a driver in the pits were all so friendly. That followed through onto the track where I experienced near perfect etiquette re passing (sadly not always the case on trackdays!!).

Tony - a awesome car you have there :god, so sorry you had problems and had to "retire" so early in the day. I hope you get it fixed soon and I can see it in action, as I didn\'t see you on track! Enjoy Abbeville, allbeit if it\'s in the BMW:).

Overboost - sorry I didn\'t realise you were there until I spoke to Clive late in the day and he told you of your problems - gutted for you:(. I hope the enforced "accelerated" upgrade to the car is some compensation.

Clive, glad Lisa persuaded you that you should join us. Hope you will decide to come along to more!

Ian - HUGE thanks for coming along with the "support" vehicle (secure storage and specialist stylus towing car) and recording the day\'s events.

Shaun, Adrian, Martin, Neil and Matt. Lovely to meet you all too and experience the event alongside you. I hope I see you all at another one soon!
