Really really chuffed. Yesterday i had a play with the new V8 M3 and he couldnt get away at all, if we didnt run out of (PRIVATE) road i could of overtaken him. This is with my fairly stock Rex just Apexi pfc, Exhaust, Intercooler and filters, Oh and ive got a boost leak aswell :mmmm. I love Rx7"s thay never stop puting a smile in my face.

So what cars have we all beaten then ??????

Ps im not a boyracer just a young man loveing the rotary :Giggle

turbo boy

600cc bikes, i`ve kept up wit `em, old skool 750s i`ve kept up with, had a play with an Aprilia twin aswell. The best car ive beaten is an e46 m3, only just tho, plus wrxs 260fq evos and the usual corsas and saxo boys!:rollin:rollinMy car was standard at the time.

I had a Fiat chincochento try it on while coming back from hull last year..... I laughed was quite funny the drain pipe on that 0.6 litre? was louder than my RX! Other than thats the usual affair of BMW\'s Audi\'s Evo\'s and Scoobies. At the time filter, decat, exhaust, ecu and a boost increase.
I woof in your general direction.

Wow thats some impressive cars you beaten there. 450 hp r32 wow its got to be the lightness of the rex that makes us beat these kind of cars.

This topic always makes me giggle.....you cant really lay claim to beating a specific piece of machinery...I guess you can name and shame the rider/driver though??

A GSX600 is a pretty impressive bike...and in the right hands, I doubt an Rx would get that close. That said an Rx in the right hands against your average joe-so that rides would probably do enough to embarrass them.

At the end of the day, it isn\'t about who has what other than who has the biggest balls! (mixed with an element of talent to back up when things get interesting :))

Also the major settling factor is corners. Straight line is fun, but keeping the car on the road through a sequence of bends is all about the talent of the person behind the wheel, and usually not that much about the car they drive. I take people on with my Honda Accord 1.8 automatic....and its rare to not lose sight of them down a country lane.

The other thing that makes me giggle.....do all of these people know they are racing? I often read on forums "Nailed a BMW, or p1ssed all over a Porsche" But I do wonder whether the drivers of the said cars actually knew they were in a race at all?? lol

slingo

all of the cars are freinds of mine and weve all been drifting and racing for years ,the bike did pull on me but i met him again at 150 ! but tbh id never do that on a bike and he probably let off :2Rolleyes

Eh!? Got to cry "foul" there....A GSX 600 is emphatically not a "pretty impressive bike" by any stretch of the imagination :3Confused.

It\'s a steel pipe-framed wretched abortion with atrocious under sprung and underdamped budget suspension, a detuned prehistoric oil-cooled GSXR engine making around a stump-pulling (NOT!) 80bhp, weighs about the same as a fully-laden rugby team, and is cursed with the ugliest bodywork in shell-suit colours ever to blight modern motorcycle, thus earning it the nickname "Teapot" because of its resemblence to said piece of crockery. It also has a rear light shaped exactly like a baboon\'s rectum. It is such a feeble, overweight bag of arse gravy that it would struggle, in the immortal words of the late great Barry Sheene "to pull the c0ck off a chocolate mouse.

A GSXR 600 is a totally different animal, however, and definitely worthy of bragging rights. What a difference a single letter makes....:rollin

Leaving that small point aside, I tend to agree with Jon. Anyone can mash the throttle in a straight line, or get the jump off someone from a set of traffic lights, it doesn\'t nessecarily prove a great deal. The road is generally the limiting factor, and the driver/rider\'s bottle more than the machinery.....

Very true!! I bet a few people have bragged about how they "nailed that green RX" not realising that I let \'em past because I was on my way back from Tesco\'s with a weeks worth of shopping in the boot!! I\'ll scramble my eggs when I get home, thanks! :Giggle
