Managed to stay awake and had a great day. Lovely weather (yep i think i got a bit burnt to :o) and got to see some rare and very lovely cars. :D
Not a big turn out from the club, 5 FDs and clive in his rx4 but we got lots of attention from the public and plenty of question being asked and answered.
Highlights for me car wise were the new Ferrari California, an amazing Shelby GT mustang which looked like it had had a total nut and bolt restoration and a simply beautiful and very classy looking high gloss black and chrome VW Karmann Ghia :D
Pictures to come soon :D

\'Twas certainly an excellent day out....good company and cool cars, what more could you ask for!? Amazed by the interest even our few humble RXs generated in a huge field full of exotics and classics.

Shame to see Clive feeling so under the weather, which wasn\'t helped by the number of people walking up to his RX-4 saying "Is that a Mustang...."...Guess not everyone was cognoscenti:rollin

Nice photos, Declan, funny how we all seemed to take the same cars. Must have good taste! I\'ll have to post pics when I\'m less knackered and can face uploading 230 of them to photobucket :rollin

Test Drives Unlimited

I would of loved  & gone to this, but sadly I can hardly walk & require a Walking Stick at the moment, just to move around at home let alone at todays Car Show :2eek

Some nice Photos taken,so at least I can see what I missed :yes

Just to echo what the others have said...

Good day out, lots of cars/vans/armoured personnel carrier  to see and good to meet fellow MRCers. :)

More pics for your viewing pleasure ( until you can see Nik\'s "artey" shots :Giggle:god ) can be found here: http://s560.photobucket.com/albums/ss43/arcticmeths/BromleyPageant2009/?albumview=grid

As said a great day out, so many old cars, apologies for not saying goodbye only just saw you all sitting under the cool tree when i left.
Great effort for Clive coming as he was not well, get well soon.
Lead me not into temptation, I can find it myself...
But i can always do with some help now due to, my advancing years!

Ada7

Nice pictures John. Nice to meet you. Hope you managed your long journey home ok :p
Looking forward to Nic\'s \'arty\' shots :D
The armoured personnel carrier was mad to see but i think the most bonkers car there was the 6 x V8 engined land speed record car that look like something out of the wacky racers! :D

Dear All
Thanks for a great day, boys enjoyed it v much, especially the motor bike stunt guy, mini limo, the Post Office "Royal Male" Postman Pat Minor van with the 4l Rover V8, the ice creams and the three goes on the dodgems!
It was good to see you even if Clive wasn\'t well (get well soon!), there were lots of complements about the cars especially of course the yellow one :)
We had to go as we had a mummy with the same virus who we had to go and tend to: hope you all got home without delays

Just waded through the mere 232 pics I took yesterday :o Blimey! Don\'t worry, I won\'t make you sit through them all :D In fact, I\'ll put the rotary ones first if you like so you can just skip the rest :rollin

Not one but two original Honda S800s!

Mmmm, I love the smell of Autosol in the morning :D

Maybe I\'m weird, but I actually find the front of this Triumph Roadster erotic! :rollin

V12 Jag classic racer, owned by an adenoidal bloke with "enthusiat\'s" voice, sadly. Mates with "Nigel, Nigel Mansell, have you met him? I let him drive my car every so often" :rollinBeautiful car though

...jaguars, y\'see? Arf!

Ada7

Excellent pictures Nik. You sure do have an eye for the arty shots :D
I see what you mean now about the Triumph :D:D

Cosssssiiieeeee!

CBX Hondas...when men were MEN and no hedgerow was safe from the evil-handling monsters. 1978, six-cylinder across the frame, 24 valve DOHC and forks slightly feebler than modern mountain bikes!
