Hey,was looking for a bit of help!

I recently bought a 1993 fd twin turbo. The car was running fine until the other night when i was driving it pretty hard and noticed the next day it wasnt running right.

Most of the time im loosing pretty much all boost after 3500rpm,it starts dropping off quickly.

However occasionally it works ok and boosts all the way?!

Does anyone have any ideas?

Cheers.

Sticky solenoid, they are the normal cause of boost issues as the springs inside them fail after time. At 3500rpm the crv vents boost from the 2nd turbo before the transition happens, when it does a solenoid should open up the y-pipe and the crv stops venting air. Sounds like the crv is constantly venting boost and the y-pipe is not closed when it is.
Check all the pipes that lead to the crv and the y-pipe actuator. There are all 3mm pipes so buy about 1m of silicon pipes before you do and replace them all, should cost a couple of quid and is well worth the peace of mind. If that does not fix it you\'ll have to take the uim off and check the solenoids. But replace the pipes first incase it\'s a split/loose pipe
:Laugh LOL
