Essexgirlracer\'s RX8 Transformation

Bought the car last Jan and love it. First on the list was a HKS Legamax exhaust and Veilside carbon bonnet.

Started like this

10.5j Volks on rear and 9.5j on the front. Havent found any one in UK with wider wheels yet :Giggle



Then we managed to get hold of an original Veilside D1 GT skirts and rear bumper and so the work began.

Debadge the whole car and a one off paint scheme was on the cards, so off to KN solutions was in order.



Then we managed to get hold of the front bumper.......but it was the worst fitting bumper we had ever seen



Stripping began



Coilovers were ordered and put on and dropped 110mm :mmmm



Side skirts were trial fitted and all i can say is the fit was perfect and no work was needed on themwhich was a great result





Because of the wide wheels the arches needed to be stretched by 2 inches :yes:yes



Now the surprise, being blonde and liking girl things Maz wanted a colour that isnt common and will let people know she is coming. So some House of Kolor Hot pink pearl was ordered. The colour in real life is amazing and is so bright and deep everyone including all the blokes who have seen it have commented how nice the colour is. It gives of a blue/purple flick under a light.



The car is going two tone pink and black. The black should be going on tomorrow



The car should hopefully be finished by next week, so when all done pics will be posted. The carbon GT wing will go back on once done so should be finished as show car soon once the turbo kit turns up and the stereo install gets put next week :mmmm

love that ,my partner says its good to and for her to get excited over car color its saying some thing when do you think it will be done is it a black ink 3 base coat then 3 pearl 3 lacquer will it turn deeper when the light fades, but looking good all the same:Thumbsup!

The black yes is a ink black and the pink is a 5 base coat over white then 3 lacquer coat. The photos of the pink arent great to be honest as much of it has been flatted down ready for another coat or more lacquer.

We have been workin on it for last couple of weeks for a few hours a day, but the black roof and pillars should be completed tomorrow and then the main pink body will be going on after. So much work doing a complete colour change but should be worth it once done.

The pink will look brighter during day and sunlight then change to a pink/blue/purple once nightfall

Looks great - as has been said can\'t wait to see the finished result. The colour combination reminds me of Rachel\'s RX-8 front / RX-7 rear.

Cant wait always loved the hot pink pearl, was a last minute mind change to go for that. though the black breaks it up as you will loose all the sexy curves. Stu  is doing a brilliant job.
My wheels are Gun Metal but going to get a refurb and middle black

should be done within next couple of weeks. Loads more done today, and all I can say is you will need sunglasses lol

Stu has done a brilliant job on the spraying so far, and the House of Kolor paint is well worth paying the extra money for the finish and coverage it gives.

Might need to heighten it a bit as the front is very loooooooooow, but does look really evil.
