whats a good upgraded ECU for a FC3s S5, full 3" exhaust turboback, 800cc sec. injectors, boost around 10-12PSI

is there a difference between a UK and a german FC3s ECU? (and between a german/UK - and a japanese ECU?)

japanese = N374
german = N380
UK = ?

greetz

(maybe a FD3s PowerFC with the banzai racing harness for FC3s... but where can i map it? :( )

i thought u sold ur fc..? or am i thinking of someone else..?
i might be selling my ap eng pfc (plug n play, or in this case, simply plug n map) but depends on a few things.
will be on for sale thread by end of week if i sell.
(apart form that im of no use :P)
oh.. maye bring the fc to uk n get blitzboy or jaydee to map it for u. he\'s closest to dover.
or pay for them to fly out to germany if they got time lol

My cab ECU was N380 - so I suspect UK FC\'s have the same ECU model as Germany.

The stock and chipped ECU\'s don\'t have mapping for larger injectors, so you will either need to use a piggy back fuel controller, or go with a standalone ECU.

I run virtually the same spec as you\'re list (with a bigger hybrid turbo) and use a chipped N374 ECU with a Greddy Emanage Ultimate for fuelling and mapping.

some ECUs/chips (like RTEK) are workin with bigger injectors. but they are hard to find. (and RTEK only chip the N370 ecu)

yes i sold my FC but... the new owner is a good friend of mine... so the ECU problem is still a problem :Tongue1

the power FC is the best way in my opinion but not the easiest way :(

in uk ebay are 3x power FC for the FC3s (1xS4 / 1xS5 without commander + 1xS5 with commander)

Sadly the Rtek chip is still only supporting the S4 FC, they haven\'t yet released the chip / daughterboard for the Series 5.  You are right though, that does allow you to specify the size of the injectors.

Another option may be to use AFC with a chipped ECU (chipped ecu should support higher boost, free flowing filter and exhaust, which is most of the mods your friend has except the larger secondaries)

...?

RTEK does support the US ECU S5!!! :)
but only the US N370

:spank

US ECU shouldn\'t be too hard to come buy, it should work with your S5 car - you might even find an ECU already fitted with Rtek Stage 1.

thats the question. the us boys said there are problems with the japanese ECUs (injector problems)

and @ german forum someone told me the japanese ECU has a different oil mangagement as the european N380 one

but you said you driving around my setup posted at the topic with a japanese chipped ECU (like the re-amemiya one) - but these one can only handle stock injector size (how much hp is ok with stock injectors? 280?) :WaveBye

i know... many questions :D
sorry with these ECUs - i´m a n00b... and one engine died yet :(
cause the N374 ECU panspeed runs not good over 6000rpm :( :Nono!

I ran the Blitz Access chipped N374 ECU with stock 550 Injectors, and an a hybrid Turbo - it made 318 BHP at the fly (that\'s with street port, Racing Beat Exhaust - no cat - and HKS induction).

I run the same chipped ECU now, but with Emanage Ultimate and 800 secondaries, not had it dyno\'d at higher boost yet, but injector duties are a lot lower on the bigger secondaries. I haven\'t had any OMP oiling problems - so I guess the N374 ECU\'s are ok on european cars.

I know other guys on here have run KnightSports, Panspeed and RE chipped N374\'s (but with stock injectors) - so the main issue is your 800 secondaries.

thats whot i´m thought, but the problem left when i replaced the 800cc with the oem 550cc... and three weeks later the engine died

Hallo,
The best option on any FC is to completeley change the ECU. I have a Microtech LT8s available with loom, and am able to map both the Apexi FC and Microtech. I think you are only about 90 minutes away from me too.
Anyway, i\'m going to the Nordschliefe this weekend if you are able to come down also and my handy number is 01702 989837. You can phone anytime.
