Does anyone know what size spacers are needed to fit FD wheels to the FC? I have coilovers and the wheels still foul on the fronts.
Cheers
Ade

think the offset for FD is 50 and 40 for FC so I would say at least 10mm for the same size JJ size but then just add to allow any difference in width size.

Yeah FD offset is definately +50

OK so the next question then is.....
Is 10mm+ spacers ok to run or will it put to much strain on the hub?
And I take it i\'ll need longer studs too?

I think it will be quite tight for a decent amount of threads to bite within the nuts with a 10mm. I used 5mm ones and that to me was about right. All my nuts are closed so if you have open ended wheel nuts you will see how much thread is being used. Other than that the only other way is to buy a hub concentric set. Not too sure on the rears though as there is a bit more room back there. Fronts will definately jam otherwise.

You will need longer studs. At least 12mm spacer on the front or the tyres will rub on the dampers (I had them on 10mm spacer and it wrecked the tyrs in less than 50 miles). 10mm on the the rears is fine. Longer studs are a MUST. Even better would be H&R Hubcentric spacer with bolt to the hubs the you bolt your wheels to them. Not cheap though.

Thanks for the info. I might just buy some different wheels that\'ll fit straight on. I don\'t like the idea of putting big spacers on.

Ok. I think I would like some new wheels (well new to me). I would like to run 225\'s espcially on the back. Can any one tell me what offset etc I will need.

Ok, thinking about this a little more.  FD is +50 and FC is +40.  Thats 10mm less clearence but the FD wheel is wider.  I cant remember exactly but is FC wheel 7.5" width.  So if fitting with standard shocks your gonna need 16mm extra clearance.

I\'ve got coilovers so it should be less than that, but I don\'t like the idea of putting bigish spacers on. I don\'t want to over stress the car in any way really (its getting old remember!)

Ask James over at JM Garage, or indeed I will, he has FD rims on his EGI...well did have until he changed them for Rotas :)
