Cheers guys. I think I\'m going to bung oil in and see how it fairs. Can\'t bung a welded one it because its what gets me to work everyday !

Quote from: Archbish;529623a lot of the guys in Oz do HiLux diff swaps (yup, the pickup truck)...  I believe it\'s an lsd, and you\'ll need to change other bits, but if you\'re thinking of looking higher hp, then it\'s a good way to go.

Bish are you running a stock S3 diff?

mpk490p

Shaun i heard a S4 EFI/EGI LSD diff will go in a S3 just digging into it now

Yup, and it\'s handling me pushing the car out of the garage and back in again without any issue... *grin*  my intention is to see what the car will do, and when/if it busts, then I\'ll go HiLux.

LOL well you are a big chap that must be nearly 1BHP?
how easy is the hilux conversion though:xconfused

Well, the guys in Oz do it a fair bit.  I believe it\'s shortening the axle, prop and drive shafts to suit and that\'s about it...  Almost certainly more than that, but I think it\'s one of those where you send the bits away, and then they come back, and you bolt it up...

I had a quick look at the Ford8.8in axle that is availble. Extra nice, but would be a little overkill :Giggle

Glad you\'ve posted.
You have a 1st Gen Series 3 I believe.
I keep a register of UK and Eire 1st Gens and your car is on it but without a reg.
Would you consider letting me have the Reg. Car is Red now I believe.

It cost me £60 for the diff and to weld it.
I doubt you will pay that so name what you would be prepared to pay?

Pete.
