I think you going to need more then beer tokens to get a basemap for your setup lol. try the //www.rx7club.com they have an Apexi forum with a sticky to a pdf on how to create a base map for a single turbo, Do you have a datalogit to attach to your apexi to upload a map from a laptop to it?

Im considering buying datalogit if it means i can get a good basemap on there cheap and then spend 50 quid getting someone to tweak it later on when im finished tweaking the setup my self. does that sound like a good idea? Carl at hayward said hed only charge me for the time as i have a reciept for A pfc 300 quid tune from him. already spent 800 quid on mapping not into anymore. its a joke as i didnt need either of the other tunes. a bloke tells you your car is about to blow up cos it needs a map then after the 300 quid map he said my car was about to blow up cos it needs fpr fuel pump and a boost controller. why didnt he say that in the first place. im sick of people who work in the motor trade i dont trust any of \'em so i want to do this myself as much as possible. good idea?

cheers blitz helpful as always, ill email you ina sec rxv8

Smello all,

I have my wideband and datalogit and been doing alot of reading on mapping. It seems all i really need is to know where my tourque peak will be roughly with my setup and i can have a go at making a conserative map. Any maps guys.

Also if Dr rotor is here, he said he coudl send me a few maps to check out.

I will contact hayward next week cheers for the link.

when i have everything set up. I may be being naive but it doesnt seem too difficult from the guides ive read.

If the wideband is setup correct the afrs look easy to tune.

And im sure i can make a conservative timing map, then maybe get hayward to tweak it.

Pip tells me its not possible to map a car correctly unless there is a rolling road?

Is this because he can get the correct tourque curve data and map the timing to that
