dashboard / apexi querie help needed !!!

my querie is am in the process of biulding a rx7 fd3s track day mean machine i have removed the dash to save weight , as i run an Apexi unit does any one know if there is a larger better display that can plug into the apexi ecu other than the standard apexi display hand held OR has anyone fitted another type of dash display thats is not mega money ie like the vapor display but something of better quality ? just need rpm,oil ,water temp etc not any data logging stuff , :flamed

All stack metersand other standalone digi dash units are £££, It may be a silly idea but maybe you could try magnifying the commander screen like they used to do with smaller screen tv\'s.
 
Mount the commander far back in the dash then mould a magnified screen closer to the driver in the usual instruments space

thats ok but my apexi contoler is  not that bright so hard to see
i find it quite amazing that the apexi dont do a plug in dash to suit there ecu i would though that would be better if used in motor sport
