Skidoo fuel pickup thingies...

Hi all,

Its a good month or so since MRP were talking about their skidoo fuel pickup thingies as an alternative to an out of tank swirl pot - just wondered if anyone had bought and fitted them since then and what they thought of them?

Is the MRP item just the pickups, or does it include fitting gubbins to attach to the pump (pipes, t-piece etc.)

On a sort of related note, anyone know if any UK suppliers sell the Denso Supra TT pumps?

i bought some, they are a walbro part but carnt find any where else that sells them.
i will be fitting them soon once the engine and everything else it fitted and connected up.

you only get the two pickup, you will need to get the fittings your self.

not sure on the pump but im sure there will be.

Did you buy them for use with the Bosch 044?
 
I got hold of a Supra pump since I wanted to replace my in-tank for the moment anyway.
 
I\'m now just trying to decide whether to go for a swirl pot with the Supra pump in the tank, or try these things out.  I assume if I want to go with the skidoo pickups I\'ll need a bosch 044 in the tank since the Mazda/Supra pumps only have fitments for a sock filter on the bottom?

ive got a bnr33 pump.


im not sure what the supra pump looks like but im sure you will be able to clamp a fuel hose to the bottom of the pump.

Looks like this - nipple to the right is to hold the sock filter in position.  I might be able to get a hose and clip round the pipe opening, be a bit of a stretch though, its about 6/16ths diameter whereas I think fuel hose is usually 5/16ths internal diameter - it only protrudes by about 8mm too...

im sure you will be able to get some kind of pipe or fitting to go on there no problem.
