got nut off for steering wheel undone all screws, still wont come off. Do you have to take anything else off or does it just have to be wrestled off? doing it atm so any help would be great

If it\'s the original wheel then you need to remember it\'s probably been on for like 20+ years.. Give it a bit of a wiggle and pull.. just watch it doesn\'t come back and knock you out! haha..

yup ninja kickin it got it off, i know retro nearly took my face off, got it all together still  bit stiff adjusted nut loosened of a bit but still feels a bit catchy, how loose can u actually leave the main nut? its pushing against the steering coloumn,

Retro_Boy_G

I didn\'t fit my aftermarket wheel by myself so i aint sure how tight it should go sorry. The guy did use a snap-on power tool though.. I\'ve got a new wheel coming over the next week so i\'ll soon find out how tight he made it! haha..

Nut needs to be tight !!! dont leave it loose. If its just rubbing on the plastic trim then just file it away until you have a small clearance.
Make sure your indicator plastic bit is also located correctly, that usually ends up being squashed and your indictors will not self cancel.

Ahh, that is probably why mine don\'t self cancel indicate anymore! :( I\'ll need to have a look at that when i fit my new wheel! Cheers Pete

cheers for advice already filed down the plastic its ok now.

TiddlesRX7

Yep I second what Pete says. And defo watch out for the indicator jobbie. Is a two pronged bit of white plastic as I recall.
I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

Get your finger out, get it on the road and start driving it then!!! (B.Martin 25/2/12)

so ....ed off with this boss, ment to be a decent one. Put boss on without covers on around the ignition, put boss and wheel on nice and tight its still manges to be stiff to turn i havent totally meggered up the nut and it is getting a bit looser, its baffling me as i cant see whats causing the friction around the boss.
