Hi guys - new RX8 owner

Hi everyone!

Firstly, I\'m new here! So hi everyone, my names Peter and I\'m in my final year of a masters in automotive engineering from Bath (great time to be graduating eh?)

Secondly, as of a couple of weeks ago, I\'m the owner of a 54 plate, hi-power RX-8 in velocity red! She\'s lurvely!



My last two cars have both been Focus ST\'s (2.5T), so as you can appreciate, the RX-8 offers a whole different driving experience!




The car\'s not 100% mint (a few stone chips, and the previous owner was crap at parking) but I\'m more than happy so far! The wheels may well be past their best; the curbing combined with the corrosion both add up to a full refurb, so I\'ll have a look at what else is out there.

Welcome fellow RX8er.  A Cambridgeshire local eh?  I currently reckon I own the loudest RX8 in Cambridgeshire (when it\'s working).  What bit of Cambs are you from?  If you\'re anywhere near Peterborough, the Mazda dealer there is tip-top.

Will - I\'m based down in South Cambs (melbourn if you know the area) but yet to sniff out any dealers so cheers for the tip!

Yep it\'s an optional front skirt - I\'ve got one too. It was quite expensive but it really improves the look of the car when you compare it to ones without. And it doesn\'t lower it much either.

yea it looks awesome, same can be said with pretty much all the rx7\'s too, must be a mazda thing
