Ok, been having intermittent problems with my drivers side headlight going really dim, and I mean barely even on, just looks red kinda dim... sometimes it works fine, other times it does this.

Also, my indicator relay seems to have screwed up, the left turn indication flashes double time whereas the right turn indicator is fine... I\'m thinking this is the earth to the relay come loose?

Question is, does anyone know how I can sort these out, what the problems most likely are, and where are the earths for them...?

i had the same thing with my head lights.

The problem was the spade connecter  the bulbs attached to.I just replaced it. Required a bit of wire cutting, but nothing too hard. I also needed a new bulb as the original had melted to the connector. I don\'t know about the indicator though im affraid

depends how bad they\'re damaged to be totally honest with you, like i said, mine were melted and beyond being re-used. Try taking the bulbs out and giving the connectors a clean with emery paper. Also try not to touch the glass of the bulbs with your fingers.

Also make sure you use the right screw driver on the lights, the front facing screws tend to get rather corroded.

Yeah, I know, I\'ve had to take the bezels off a few times, headlight cover installation and replacement when it flew off at the \'Ring

Probably an earth for the headlights and possibly as well for the indicator if all your bulbs are working fine. I think the earth for that is by the battery tray and notorious for corrosion.
That could also be the flasher/light/alarm ECU by the fusebox, that controls everything and i bet that the flasher problem is one of the circuit boards. They can be replaced individually and not hard to do if it is that. Mazdatrix sells them or try and get the whole thing from a scrap car.

Ok, been thick... I asked my mate (who incidentally also owns an FC3S) about the indicator, he offhandedly enquired about the bulb for the indicator, and surprise surprise.... the bulb had blown, it was double flashing due to there being no resistance from the front bulb via the relay... so, all good now, also found out that the main headlight probles are being caused by loose plugs, so both problems been/being sorted! cheers guys!
