Hi all my first post I have recently completed the mechanical restoration of my 1st Gen (with lots of help) series 3 may be a 2 but it has the digital clock and someone sugested it was a 3 oh well.
Anyway the tap warning light next to the handbrake light keeps coming on, I have checked the rad and it is full I never seem to get to hot either. Can anyone tell me where the sensor is so I can change/ fix it please.

the water level sensor is in the top of the radiator, its easy to tell a series 2 or 3 appart as the series 3 has an oil-water cooler, vented rear discs (series 2 were solid) and 14" wheels rather than the + style 13" ones.

Cheers,

Thanks Mike now I just have to find out how it works so I can fix it.
Sounds like my Gen 1 is a series 2 . Its an 84 on a B plate.
Cheers Benny.

A b reg would generally be a mk3, as it was one of the last ones, very few on a  reg.  The other way to tell is the steering wheel has 3 spokes on a later one as opposed four on an earlier one.  Can we see somep piccys then?
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

I will get some taken then post them here, Then I can wait for the jurys verdict :)

Hi Benny,
Is that the one you bought from me?
If so then it is a MK3
Kind regards
Carl

Carl,
Its the best bits of the one you sold me put on the one I had looks quite good now and goes like a rocket. Had some handling problems but Tim at RX Motors sorted that out for me.
Here is a piccy.
