some of you by now know of my orange 8 and a few weeks ago we had a little problem , whilst driving south bound on the M1 jct 20 the car went with two small pops from the supercharger then a loud bang then a large back fire from the main engine and a little blue smoke from the exhaust.

the destruction :eek::eek::eek:

within 500 yards and at 5000-6000 rpm the car was dead:driving:flamed

any way that was then and this is now

the good news, the polishing of the supercharger was not a good idea as the numpty polished the weld out of it if you would like to see the odd pick then go to t200cad photo bucket

thats not good news you might say how ever modding is all about a learning curve (and putting a little £££££££ just in case of the odd miss hap)

the engine has blown a tip or thats what we think

the other news is i have a good back up team as in trimar sports cars
they have been first class i now have a new supercharger from the USA
and will have a new engine in a week or so

thing is because all involved kept there cool/heads, did not go down the road of the blame game and worked together we have for once got a customer and supplier that have a good end result :Giggle:Giggle:Giggle

the car will be back in a few weeks thats because i let my favorite :godmechanic go on his honeymoon for two weeks:Hammer

thanks to all involved another up date soon agent orange aka tango tony aka tc

Hard luck Tony, it sounds like you were unlucky.  At least it will be back running soon!

Apparently putting details of your car spec in your signature means the nice folks on exile-rotorsport think you\'re a fool.  I can think of no higher compliment!
