Multi/Polyvee pulley turning tip

I\'ve just spotted summat about someone turning up pulleys for an FC(I think). If anyone wants to make their own for an FD then using a thread chaser welded to an old  knife tool or similar would get you the vees, Can\'t think off hand what the tpi is but its easy enough to measure a steel pulley up.Bob.
