Hi People,

I\'m considering making up some jigs for EGI headers and exhausts. Turbo II cat backs.

Just wondering if people here would be intrested and what they would be intrested in. My thoughts on options i could make available

for TII
single exit cat back - typical Jap style
Tiwn rear muffler like the stock set up
optional centre silencer for both

For EGI
True dual system like on our PPort EGI
2 into 1 headers
silenced or unsilenced mid box
single exit rear section Jap style
twin exit rear section like stock

Any thoughts on what you would like? For this time price is erelivent just intrested in what poeple would like on their cars.

Cheers

Brett

A few side exit options would be cool ;)

i think the 2 - 1 header for an egi is likely to be the biggest seller :D

other than that, im good for exhausts atm :D

i think a GOOD price on a main centre decat would be superb :D

OR - what about a 1 peice turbo back to Y piece for the TII - this could be used on the UK cars to remove both cats in one swap !! ( and welding in the bung ready for the wideband would be good aswell )

True dual system for Egi would be cool with twin exit pipes stockish looks say "3 or less diameter tailpipes.

I think if someone was able to make a OEM downpipe and decat pipe for the UK turbo II it would be fab lol :) twin system for the Turbo II would be good :)

mitch - thats what i was getting at - but a one piece section - saves on gaskets and bolts etc...

althought just a centre decat would be nice at the mo :D

OK well i see the twin exits seems to be more popular than big single. I have something "semi jigged" for that anyway after doing the Dual system.

The one peice UK down pipe/decat seems like a good idea.

If i do a one peice down pipe/decat the preference be with of with out a centre silencer?

Brett

My suggestion would be to do a DCAT down pipe for the TII that is the same length as the stock down pipe and capable of matching up with the stock flanges, that way people can add it to a stock car etc.  (Same would apply to any Y piece, centre DCAT & rear box(es)

i cant think how many peices are in the stock pipe

does the downpipe connect to another pipe before the centre decat ??

right then - been having a dig around - and found a pic of a TII exhaust

this is whats left - but still leaving the down pipe one the car ( its a pain to remove )

so it would be nice to have

1 - down pipe to cat ( 1 piece instead of 2 )
2 - a cat replacement
3 - incorporate 1 and 2 into a nice one peice system to the Y pipe

you will notice that they back boxes are welded to the Y pipe - this is cause its a power flow system - usually the back boxes are bolted on

not sure where this post is going - i just like posting random pics :D

and looking at it - No 2 should be easy - it looks like a straight pipe with 2 flanges welded on ???

Agree with the one piece downpipe and a removeable cat section.  The rear Y section does need to have the Y as a section and then the two rear boxes seperate. The problem you will have is getting a courior to post that rear section if it was all one piece.  It also allows you to \'tweak\' the position of the boxes if you have an after market rear bumper to get the tail pipe positions bang on as they usually want to go a bit lower.

Hats off for getting this starting as you only have to read the posts on this and see what people are crying out for but there is so little around for a decent price.
What is quite good to keep the noise down as a 3" throughout might not be everyones cup of tea is to run 3" from header/turbo back and then you can restrict from the Y pipe exit to 2 1/2" bore or give people the option.  You will be surprised at the difference it makes to noise.
