Interchangeable Items for the FC

So having spent countless hours pouring through web pages trying to see what fits the FC from other cars, totally interchangeable or fits with a certain modification etc why not post what you have fitted to your car that is either non-rx7 or, perhaps its shared with something like a MX5 or RX8.  For instance I have been after an uprated radiator for mine, £200 from China? no thanks...... but I do know that a Skyline rad will work just as well and although the water pipes are slightly smaller it will fit very nicely.  The water hose connections are on the same sides and only a slight mod be done to the top hose to fit. Its a cheaper option considering you can get a 52mm thick uprated one for about £120. Even a standard one will fit but the overall volume is less but has been proven to work very well. We need to dig deep here and anyone with a parts catologe might easily spot a water sensor for instance that may well cost £30 for a RX7 but only £12 for a MX5 but yet the same item !!  Get the point of this now?

well someone could start one in the 1st and 3rd gen sections then they could become excellent stickies. The 3rd gen though is a bit of a law to itself and this idea may only be good for the old gen cars as most were build from stock mazda had kicking around anyway. But it all does help in keeping costs down, helps to preserve the cars so people do not readily and freely scrap the cars etc. We just need the cost of rebuilds to get cheaper.

I think everyone knows this but wing mirrors are interchangable between FC\'s and old AE86 gen Corollas.
 
I know what you mean about parts prices though! I remeber a timing belt for a B16 Honda engine being something like 60 quid from Honda and the EXACT SAME PART, same part number and everything but branded as being for an older civic was 30 quid! Lol!
