hey guys been looking at getting my first rex for a while and started dealing with a few importers, however with the yen being so strong im struggling to get the rex i want within my budget, eventually a few years down the line i would like to go with a street port and single turbo conversion, so ive been looking at maybe buyng a rex with low comp and needing a rebuild soon and thn leaving it with a rotary specialist to have the rebuild, port and single turbo conversion done, i live in the west midlands but travelling is not an issue as i have a trailor, id like to get a good mix between price and quality but dont want to pay through the teeth just for a big name on the receipt, i would like 350-400hp, im in no rush to get it on the road as at the end of the day i just want the rex i am hapy with:3gears-lh

im sure you can help me as you all seem a really nice bunch:D

Hi Thomas and Welcome to MRC,

I feel the best answer is to tell you that if you spend time with the search engine at the top of the page with 7 years worth of posts and info it should help you decide (I think guests can see this)
All the best Clive

I think Haywood would be your closest fella, they are based in Cov if i\'m not mistaken. They do a quality warrenty on their rebuilds too.

I would recommend Carl Hayward and he is not too far down the road from you, other than that WGT might be your closest. Both will sort anything out for you.

Hi

I had my engine re-build by Kerim at Powergains Motorsport in Romford near London

I was ecstatic with the job, price and the time scale.  I think if I remember right Kerim took 3 days and I was back on the road.

Hi Thomas - have you managed to find yourself a nice car?

I think the best bet would be to buy an FD that is already in the country and maybe from the for sale section on here.  Your gonna save loads in new parts, import tax and not to mention labour for all the work you want to have done - I understand why you want to do that though :).  Money saved, well put it to one side for the future just in case ;)

Hi mate, have u got a contact number? How mutch do they charge for rebuild? Cheers

hey guys havnt been on in a while, im yet to find the rex for me, reading alot about a 1jz conversion atm, i think i might stard with a soarer as i want to get back into drifting again, and then as soon as i plough that through an armco i can drop everything into a rex, but im sure all that will change in 5 minutes like always hahaha

1 day there will be a rex on my drive tho
