Hello guys

New question on what looks best on a REX.

My RX7 has been de winged and hand the wiper removed etc. I love the look but im getting allot of hassle from those who think a \'drift\' spoiler will look better.

I am also going to get a bonnet much like the scoot one for my car.

Im thinking striped out will look great with that bonnet and feed skirts?

Opinions

Subtle skirts something like the RE Amemiya AD D-2 with the rear spats to match and leave the wing off.

Anything but the extremely large gt wing\'s that seem to be landing on every japanese car up and down the country.

GT wing\'s are for the track and not for street cars imo

hmm, i think cars with the 99 spec frontbumper + splitter need wings, they just suit the rest of the car more. How about a nice 99 spec rear wing?

oh, one thing for definate, if you don\'t have a spoiler you NEED a rear diffuser :D

a pic of a FD without a wing from the front and side looks good, but the rear shot of a FD without a wing looks not so good.

Try to get someone to photoshop a wing on and see what you think ??? :yes

Put a wing on it but make sure it\'s high, I mean as high as the roof, GT style wings that you know aren\'t even in the air flow are stupid. Go GT: high as the roof and as wide as the rear arches.

I prefer them with a wong on the back. I can look ok for soem angels wingless but most of the time you look at it and think there\'s something missing, just to help complement the lines of the car.
Try find a 99 spec standard onw as these are one of the best looking and more sublte if you dont like big GT style wings

Could get light in the rear end at high speed. Even the stock wing helps at 200kph+ or as said before use a rear difuser to create down force.

Here is a pic of what I use. Its a custom copy of the 99spec. I dont like the fat bits of the 99spec that sit on the boot lid so mine has those parts cut out. I race my car often and reach speeds of 270kph+ and this wing gives plenty of down force...car is very stable.

Theres a few different views for you to get the best aspect of how it looks.

I think smooth is the way to go with your current level of styling, or even a low-level RX7 specific wing.

If you go down the large rear wing route make sure its a quality, non universal part, or itll ruin the styling.

Just my 2p :)

If you get a wing you need a diffuser... thats for sure..
And if the car is done right the GT wing looks amazing...
If your car is butt standard then you obviously can\'t get a wing...
Also depends how fast you drive... if you drive fast then you need a wing as has been said at high speed the back feels less stable

NurburgRob

No wing and diffuser (who says that doesn\'t look good)

96-98 OEM rear wing, seen one of these painted black on a silver car and you could hardly see it.

Well Im thinking now keep the wing off as i think the standard wing is dated and gt wings look a little chavey unless they have a real working purpose.

I really do need a diffuser though as in not as stable as i would like top end, let me know if any for sale.

The car is getting the scoot bonnet for sure and some skirts, not sure what skirts though? What ones are on your cars pics Dr-Rotor they look nice!

is there anyone with the scoot style bonnet and wingless?

Cheers guys
