I have seen this on piston heads, at a glance it looks quite good ?
Does anyone here recognise the vehicle at all ?
Could some of you guys maybe point out any bad/good points at all ?

Thanks for any help.

looks good to me, the t04s is a good size single tubby.  If you decided you wanted to mod it further you may have to ditch the panspeed ecu and go for something like a apexi power fc.  Apart from that all looks fine for me, not a bad price looks tidy bodywork

I knew there was something missing from the photo\'s lol.

Timmy

It\'s 1992 the clock were probably changed at some point so probably not 40k. It\'s probaly been rebuilt too at some point but completely unknown. I would value it on a basis on the mods forget about the rest. £5500 still is not that bad a price.

chrisJDM

i agree with timmy that i wouldnt trust the mileage reading, might be an idea to get a compression test just to check that as you dont want it going pop 5 mins down the road.

Jurgen how bad is the engine bay?

chrisJDM

also seeinng that its got Dragon written on the side you could contact Dragon and see what they know about the car.

I`ve always liked white fds, looks really nice. If you do have it, get a decent wing.

Yeah good point.

Also Jurgen could I/we see the engine bay pic please ?

Freddy

The ex owner posted it for sale here at one point last year. You could try and search for it.

looks nice and a good price too, but like timmy says, you dont know anything about the engine, i would say take it for a test drive and have a good look around it.

hot starting is a sign of low/bad compression, search on here for the water seals test as well as its pretty simple.

but if you decide to buy i would have some money saved for a rebuilt.

Thanks for your responses guys real helpfull. Ive decided to wait for a standard ish FD with a rebuilt engine. I would like to mod it my self from scratch also :)

karl_tate

good plan, there is still plenty of very good examples, just dont get sucked in, and use brain over heart :yes

That car was previously owned by Andrew for few years with no problems.  The car was very well looked after and hardly driven:Hammer I know he sold it for about 8k not so long ago.  I would take the panspeed ecu off and replace it with Apexi and remape:3gears-lh
