Speaker locations

Can anyone provide pictures of an EGi interior to confirm where the speakers are/should be? Also what size speakers they are as standard?
 
My car came with no audio and has big speaker holes right in the middle of the doorcard, I\'m sure I\'ve seen FC interiors with no speakers there.
 
Obviously theres two in the boot also - what size are/should these be?

Series 4 (EGI) have them in the middle of the doorcard, Series 5 (Turbo II) have an inbuilt housing/cover at the lower front towards the dash.

The two doorcards visually are quite different.

My front speakers are mounted behind some vents under the dashboard.. Nothing on my door. mine is a S4 EGI.

I\'ve seen this, but surely this is something they have done themselves? It looks pretty poor.

i have door speakers like in that pic. It was deff a diy job though

Late EGI\'s have speakers in the door above the arm rest IIRC.
Early ones have them mounted under the dash. (Clarion flat honeycomb speakers IIRC)
TII\'s have them in the lower portion of the door card.

Mine are [or were] in the position of the photo above. I thought it was a DIY job though! Any idea what size they are/were?

this might sound silly but cant you just measure it?
it might be an idea to take ur door card off and see if there is a hole nr the footwell corner of the door. if there is then maybe u can get S5 door cards and place ur speakers where S5 ones are.
im sure someone will have S5 door cards. =)

That was my next question - do other spec [S5] doorcards fit straight on?

S5\'s don\'t have lovely long hair\'d carpets like the s4\'s do

S5 TII got kinda grills on the footwell corner of the door card. hides the speakers n looks bit better than being so high up :Giggle
im sure S5 cards will fit in S4.. else make them fit with a lil gentle persuasion.. :p
